Tilshead Borehole Levels: 19th January 2018

Water levels in the aquifer have continued to rise throughout the week, but with relatively little rainfall during the last two weeks, the rate of rise has fallen off a bit. Overall, the water level remains 4m below the 5 year average and 6.5 m above last years levels for the same period.

We are expecting some rain tomorrow and Sunday, with dry weather returning on Monday.  More rain on Tuesday.   The end of the month into early February looks set to be dryish, with wet weather returning by mid month.   Sadly (?), no snow on the horizon – just yet!

After many years as the village flood warden, Robert Turner has stepped down from the role, so we are looking to find another volunteer.  Robert has done a stirling job over the years and we thank him for his efforts.
