A303 White Lining and Yellow Box Improvement Works
Skanska, working on behalf of Highways England, will be carrying out works on the A303 to make vital improvements to the road markings from Monday 6 March – Friday 10 March.
They are replacing life expired road markings and road studs on Longbarrow Roundabout and providing a yellow box on Countess Roundabout on the A303.
Due to the type of work taking place and to ensure the safety of both the public and our workforce, it will be necessary to fully close sections of the A303 to through traffic at times while we deliver the scheme. All of the works will be carried out on weeknights only, and full overnight closures will be in place during the hours of 20:00 – 06:00. The full closures are currently programmed in as follows:
- Full eastbound closure between Longbarrow Roundabout and Solstice Park – Monday 6 March and Tuesday 7 March
- Full westbound closure between Solstice Park and Longbarrow Roundabout – Monday 6 March and Tuesday 7 March
- Multiway signals and lane closures on approaches to Longbarrow and Solstice Park Roundabouts – Monday 6 March – Friday 10 March.
During these closures, a clearly signed diversion route will be in place. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency services, and where applicable, for local businesses.
