Tilshead Borehole Levels: 14th March 2022

Apologies for the delay in publishing this latest bulletin; due entirely to not having access to a computer and fast broadband.  Not to worry, the situation in the Tilshead borehole has been very mundane and predictable – at least until the middle of last week.  Basically, the water level continued to fall despite periods of quite heavy rain. This fall continued until last Tuesday, the level plateaued, and then on Friday, the water level began to rise again.

Graph shows that in the last few days, the water level in the borehole has begun to rise again.

There may be some wet weather towards the end of the week and the weekend, but dry weather will predominate until the end of the month and the end of this year’s “official” monitoring period.  After a very similar start, April is set to be very wet and windy.
