Well, surprise, surprise! The torrential rain on Wednesday put Boscombe Down on the BBC’s list of the top 5 wettest places in the UK. I would expect that upwards rise to continue until the end of the month.
I expect the weather to be predominantly dry until the end of the month and the end of this season’s monitoring period, with overnight frosts and fog continuing. The daytime temperature is likely to be above average as it has been for some time. Our hedgehogs clearly believe warm weather is coming as they have broken hibernation and were hunting for food last night. As April gets underway, the wet weather is set to return with downpours and thunder.
