Tilshead Borehole Levels: 27th January 2017

The slow rise of the water level in the Tilshead borehole continues.  It is almost a linear increase since the 1st December.  The effect this is having on the 4-year average is becoming increasingly pronounced and has moved it by 4 metres.  Water levels are now 13 metres below those at the same time last year.

We are expecting to see some heavy rain moving into the area tonight with more rain to come over the weekend and into the early part of next week.  More rain and showery weather is expected throughout February.  We would expect to see this impacting on the borehole levels within a matter of a few days.
