Tilshead Borehole Levels: 28th March 2021

Well, we are pretty much at the end of the month and so this will be the last bulletin of the 2020-2021 flood season; unless, of course, we are subject to a deluge of biblical proportions over the next couple of day.  Given the events of the last 12 months, I’m not going to take a risk and say that is entirely impossible.

The last week has seen very little rain and the aquifer levels continue to fall towards the seasonal average.

There may be a few spots of rain later on today, but there is also a chance of a bit of sunshine; a real mixed bag.  The early part of the week should be largely fine, with a bit of light rain returning at some point on Wednesday.  In the run-up to Easter, it looks set to be cold and dry, with wet weather returning for the Easter weekend itself; which is a great shame.  The rest of April looks to be a bit colder than usual, but also dryer, with wet weather returning at the end of the month.

Let’s hope things on the COVID-19 front improve over the rest of the year and that you all get the chance to get out and about.  I hope to be able to bring these reports back in December, but who knows in what form that will be.  Take care and have a smashing summer.
