Tilshead Borehole Levels: 21st March 2021

Another dry week and certainly one that was drier than predicted.  Water levels in the aquifer have continued to fall steadily throughout the week and that trend shows every sign of continuing next week.  Overall, the water level is still 2.5-3.0 metres above the average for this time of year.

There is the remote possibility of a touch of drizzle later today, with Monday and Tuesday being mainly dry.  A band of wet weather seems likely to put in an appearance on Wednesday, which should soon blow through.  The end of the week will be more unsettled. This unsettled weather, with more rain, seems set to continue out to the end of the month.  Early April looks as if it will be drier and brighter than normal, but with temperatures around about the average.  Next week is the last full week of this report for the 2020-2021 flood season.
