Winterbourne Stoke Parish Council is seeking applicants for the post of Parish Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer.
This is a part-time, permanent appointment – 4 hours per week. The role involves attendance at council meetings which are held on an ‘as needed’ basis; approximately 6 meetings per year.
You will be responsible for managing all the Parish Council’s administrative functions, including its finances and managing Council assets. You will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial, and other governing provisions are observed and ensure Council meetings are properly administered and decisions effectively implemented.
The successful candidate will need to build a wide range of positive relationships with Councilors, residents, local groups, etc.
The candidate must have experience with MS Office, or equivalent, and, ideally, in website management. The ideal candidate will be CILCA qualified, or willing to obtain the qualification within 18/24 months of appointment.
Salary is in line with the National Joint Council for Local Government Services (NJC) pay scales for 2022-2023 with 2023 uplift, Scale point 5, and is in the region of £12.22 per hour (to be confirmed).
