National Highways operates, maintains and improves England’s motorways and major A-roads; they will shortly be carrying out essential maintenance works on the A303, from Deptford junction to Countess roundabout.
The work will start on the evening of Monday 12 June and finish on the morning of Thursday 29 June, and will take place overnight between the hours of 8pm and 5am.
To minimise disruption, we’ll work on weeknights only when there are fewer vehicles on the road. During the day we will keep the road open as usual.
The work will take place over two non-consecutive weeks, and is currently programmed as follows:
Monday 12 June to Thursday 15 June – full overnight closure of the A303 from Countess roundabout to Longbarrow roundabout, for 3 nights from 8pm until 5am the following morning.
Monday 26 June to Thursday 29 June – full overnight closure of the A303 from Longbarrow roundabout to Deptford junction, for 3 nights from 8pm until 5am the following morning.
There will be fully signed diversion routes in place during the full overnight closures, but please allow extra time for your journey.
Access for residents will be maintained but may involve a short delay depending on our stage of work. Please show a copy of this postcard or speak to our gatemen who will escort you through the works if necessary.
